Using the studio calendar
Updated Oct 9, 2026
For studio ownersCalendar shows every lesson in your studio, generated from your weekly schedules about twelve weeks ahead.
Views and filters
Switch between Day, Week and Month. To narrow it down, use the filters beside them — All teachers, All locations and All rooms each become a single teacher, location or room. Studios that teach only in families' homes have no room filter.
Enrolling from an empty slot
Click an empty time in the day or week view and Enroll opens with that day and time already filled in. It is the quickest way from "Tuesday at 4 is free" to a booked student.
What you can do from a lesson
Click any lesson to open it. Depending on where it is in time, you can:
Move it — under Move this lesson, pick the new date and start time, then choose Just this lesson or This and all future lessons. Moving just this one emails the family the new time. Moving the series moves every weekly lesson from this one on to the new day and time, and replaces any one-off changes to those later lessons.
Cancel it — say who cancelled: Client cancelled, Teacher cancelled or Studio cancelled. A teacher or studio cancellation always gives the student a make-up credit. A client cancellation earns one within your allowance, and the cancel step tells you what it is.
Mark attendance — Present, Late or No-show, and Correct attendance if you got it wrong.
A moved lesson is checked like a new one: the teacher's other lessons, their buffer, the room, and the teacher's working hours. Teachers can move their own lessons the same way from their portal.
An in-home lesson shows the family's address, so whoever is teaching knows where to go.
Closures
The Closures button marks dates the studio is closed — a holiday, a break, a snow day. No lessons run on those dates and no make-up can be booked onto one; billing carries on as usual. For each closure you choose whether to Grant make-up credits for the lessons it cancels.
Trial requests
If families can book trial lessons online, a time held for a request waiting on you shows as a dashed Trial request, so nobody books over it. It becomes an ordinary lesson when you approve the request.
