Getting started with Encore Studio
Updated Oct 9, 2026
For studio ownersEncore Studio is a management platform for music studios. It handles your schedule, your client billing, and your paperwork — quotes, agreements, and invoices — so lessons, money, and documents all live in one place.
The three portals
One account, three views, each scoped to what that person should see:
Studio portal — where you (and any managers) run the business: Dashboard, Calendar, Tasks, Notifications, People, Enroll, Admin, Coverage, Recitals, Routing, Messages, Announcements, Documents, Products, Referrals, Reports, Tutorial, Support, and Settings.
Teacher portal — each teacher sees their own calendar, their own students, coverage requests, tasks, messages, recital lineups, their weekly hours, and their own support tickets. Nothing from other teachers' rosters.
Family portal — families see their students' lesson calendar and make-up credits, announcements, messages, enrollments, documents, and events, and manage their account. They sign agreements and pay invoices here (or straight from email links — no login required for those).
Families and teachers will also have an iPhone and Android app, launching in December 2026. Running the studio stays on the web.
Your first week
Finish the four onboarding steps — Business, Staff, Clients, and Payments. The app walks you through them on first sign-in.
Connect Stripe so families can pay you online. If you skipped it during onboarding, it is waiting in Settings → Billing.
Import your client list from the CSV template, or add families one at a time.
Invite your teachers so they can see their calendars in the teacher portal.
Set up weekly recurring lessons — the calendar fills itself out twelve weeks ahead automatically.
Share your client link (found in Settings → Business) so families can sign in to the family portal.
Where to get help
Open Support in the studio sidebar to file a ticket with our team, or browse the rest of this help center. Most articles here are written for studio owners; families and teachers have their own articles too.
